Joann Francis Miller

On October 8,1947 the late Joshua and Rosemary Francis received one of the best God’s given gifts ever. A precious baby girl whom they named Joann Marie Francis. By God’s Grace she was blessed with sharing 75 wonderful years of life with us. Until that cold rainy night of December 9, 2022. The trumpet’s sounded and the heavenly roll was called and without hesitation Joann responded Present and gracefully went home to glory to be with our Father the Mighty King in her New Home. Joann accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized by Rev.Gomez. Joann was a dedicated servant of God. She was a member of the choir from the time she gave her life to Christ. As she grew older her dedication motivation and determination to study, teach, and spread the Love of God never ceased. Children’s Ministry was dear to her. One of her many favorite scriptures were Proverbs 22:6 Train Up A Child in the way he should go and when he is old, he will not depart from it. Upon relocating to Lawrenceville, Ga she became a member of the Salem Missionary Baptist Church Pastored by Rev. Richard B. Haynes. There she continued her lifelong journey of sharing and teaching the word of God. Joann was a participant in several ministries within the church. However once again the children’s ministries became her continued heartbeat. Joann received her childhood education in the New Orleans Public School System where she graduated with honors from Walter L. Cohn Senior High School. A scholar she was which yielded her the opportunity to graduate from High School 2 years in advance. She continued her education at Southern University Of Baton Rouge La. where she received her degree. Joann then accepted employment with Bellsouth Communications for 30plus years until retirement. Joann was blessed with Three children Delery Nicholas, Shavell Nicholas Richard and Dinero Nicholas whom she loved unconditionally from the marriage to Delery Nicholas. She was currently married to her devoted husband Arthur Miller and from that union she gained Two Stepsons Arthur and Aaron Miller. “Aint T Jo” as she was affectionately called enjoyed cooking and hosting family gatherings. The gumbo Queen she was! Aint T Jo had a heart of gold she was the epitome of Love to one another and thru that our family grew larger and larger with extended cousins, aunts, uncles' family members. In her presence no one ever felt unlike family young or old. In her home there was always room for one more! Aint T Jo was the life of a party there has never been a family function or gathering where someone didn’t come to the center of the floor and say “Do the Aint T Jo ! OOH Na Na Na!!! Aint T Jo is preceeded in death by her parents the Late Joshua and Rosemary Francis, God mother Albertha Davis, Sister Diann McWilliams, Sister in law Delcena Francis, Niece Lakesha Francis, Nephew Ellis Francis and Stepson Aaron Miller. She leaves to cherish her precious memories her Devoted Husband Arthur Miller , Three unconditionally loving children Delery Nicholas (Gina), Shavell Richard, Dinero Nicholas (Amber), Honorary Sons Joshua and Ellis Francis, Two God children: Bo Davis and Shara Francis, Nine Dynamic Grandkids: Shanaria Wilson (Michael) A’Ri Richard, Quindell, Dinero, Dominique, Devon, Destyn,Dante, Cameron Nicholas. Eleven Adorable Great Grands:Walter, Kamari, Kennedi, Kylah, Cainin, Caden, Jamiyah, Jakai, Tre, Ethan, Evan. Three Fabulous Sisters Leatrice, Ruby and Paulette. Two Handsome Brothers Rudy and Paul.
