Celebrating the Life and Legacy of Mother Vallie Bell Thompson-McClain March 25, 1946 – July 10, 2026 Mother Vallie, a beautiful soul of profound faith, love, and dedication, earned her wings and peacefully departed this life to be with the Lord on Friday, July 10, 2026. Born on March 25, 1946, in Pendergrass, Georgia, Jackson County she was the cherished daughter of the late Mr. Cleveland Thompson and Mrs. Mary Magaline Thompson. Although she was born in Jackson County the family later moved to Gainesville,Hall County where she was raised. Education and Tiger Pride Vallie was a proud graduate of the Class of 1964 from E.E. Butler High School in Gainesville, Georgia. She carried her school spirit and fond memories with her throughout her life—Go Tigers!! A Life of Faith and Fellowship Vallie’s spiritual journey began at an early age when she joined Timberidge Baptist Church in Gainesville Ga. In her later years, she became a devoted and current member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Flowery Branch, Georgia. There, she served as an esteemed member of The Mother Board, pouring her heart into her ministry and deeply loving her church family. Her presence was a cornerstone of strength and grace within her congregation. A Legacy of Hard Work and Service Known for her incredible work ethic, Vallie was a dedicated and extremely hard worker throughout her life. Over the years, she lent her talents and reliability to several organizations, including: Potter & Brumfield Peachtree Windows and Doors Siemens Brenau University (Aramark), from which she proudly retired. A Heart of Gold To know Mother Vallie was to love her. She possessed a heart of gold and was a giving, loving, and deeply compassionate lady. Her radiant smile had the rare ability to light up any space she entered, comforting those around her. She loved her family from the absolute depths of her soul and consistently made herself available to anyone in need. Above all, she was exceptionally proud of her one and only grandson, Ian. She made sure that he, and everyone else who met her, knew just how much he meant to her. Mother Vallie was also blessed with a beautiful singing voice and could sing Alto and Soprano. Heavenly Reunion Mother Vallie was reunited in glory with those who preceded her in death: Parents: Cleveland & Mary Magaline Thompson Sister: Cinella (Net) Thompson Brothers: Ted & James Thompson Niece: Naquitta Michelle Thompson Cherished Memories She leaves behind a rich legacy of love, kindness, and devotion.
