Kim Collins

Kim Jacques Collins was born on December 30, 1968, in Gainesville, Georgia, to her loving parents, Johnnie Curry and Tracy Collins. From the very beginning, Kim carried a quiet strength and a warm spirit that left a lasting impression on everyone who had the blessing of knowing her. She peacefully departed this life surrounded by the love of her family, just as she had spent her life surrounding others with love. Kim was preceded in death by her father Tracy Collins; step father Harold O’Neal Curry Jr.; her sister V onda; her aunts Earnestine Johnson and Carolyn Witherspoon; her uncle William Johnson; her cousins Tonya Woods, Anthony Woods and Sexton Rucker; and her beloved grandparents Bennie and Elizabeth Johnson. Though their passing brought moments of sorrow, she carried their memories with her in her heart and held tightly to the love they shared. Family was the center of Kim’s world. She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted mother Johnnie Curry; her husband Tyrone Gilmer; and her loving siblings Corey (Marita) Collins, Dejuan (Vanessa) Collins, Teja Collins, Kier Collins, Harold “Neal” (Sheila) Curry lll , and Byron (Brionca) Curry. She also leaves to cherish her memory her in-laws Carolyn and Jerry Goss, along with her god sibling Shelli (Sylvell) Marzette . Her greatest pride and deepest joy were her children Kimesha Collins, Tashenna Collins and Michael Pittman, who were truly the light of her life. Kim was also a proud and loving grandmother to Mya, Elias (Keriah), Josiah, Gracelynn, Oscar Jr, Michaii, Sekanii and Olivia. Her love extended even further to a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends who will forever hold her close in their hearts. Kim dedicated much of her life to caring for others. As a caretaker, she showed patience, compassion and a genuine love for the people she served. Helping others was not simply her profession. It was a reflection of who she was at her core. She had a natural way of making people feel safe, valued and truly cared for. Her presence brought comfort during difficult moments and warmth during ordinary days. Those who knew Kim will always remember her humor and her unforgettable way of staying connected. She was famous for blowing up your phone and calling again and again until you finally answered. When she learned how to text, she simply added that to her routine, making sure there was absolutely no escape. By the time you picked up, you might have expected an emergency, but all she truly wanted was to hear your voice, make sure you were doing alright, remind you that you were loved, and somewhere before the conversation ended, sweetly ask if you could bring her a cup of ice. Her laughter had the power to fill every room with joy, and many cherished memories were created at 1367 Northwood Circle. That house was more than just an address. It was a place of comfort, gathering and togetherness for her family. It was where stories were shared, love was given freely and bonds were strengthened over time. Although Kim did not travel far from the place she was born, she made her world brighter through kindness, humor and unwavering devotion to the people she loved. She lived a life rooted in faith, resilience and quiet strength. Today we find peace in believing she has been reunited in heaven with those who went before her and welcomed into eternal rest where there is no more pain or suffering. While her physical presence is no longer with us, her love continues to live on in every life she touched, every laugh she shared and every heart she helped heal. Kim will be deeply missed, forever loved and never forgotten
