Rosa Mary Tillman

Ms. Rosa Tillman transitioned into eternal rest on December 2, 2025 peacefully at her home in Gainesville Georgia. Rosa was born on June 5, 1958 in Elberton Georgia to the late Torry Dubose Sr. and Mary Dubose-Lewis. She received her education in the Elbert County school system. Rosa started her career in customer service with Sears. Later she transferred to Rooms to Go where she met the love of her life Mr. Leroy Tillman Jr. They had a devoted marriage for 24 years. Rosa and Leroy moved from Georgia to Gastonia, North Carolina but years later they returned back to Gainsville, Georgia. Rosa was a member of The Greater Timber Ridge Baptist Church where she served as president of the Pastor's Aide committee, she was also on the hospitality committee. She loved working in the church. Rosa and Leroy later moved their membership to Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, where she served as vice president of the United Methodist Women. Rosa was a role model to everyone she met, always smiling and never met a stranger. She was very creative in decorating and creating ideas for activities, that was one of her many passions. Rosa had a heart of gold, she was always willing to give. She loved shopping and being with family. She loved and adored every child she came in contact with. Rosa loved her children, grandchildren, family and friends unconditionally. She always sent morning text to say "Good Morning" ending with 'I Love You". Rosa's biggest quote was "God got me". Rosa leaves a legacy of love, respect and passion that will be cherished forever in our hearts. She is preceded in death by her father Torry Dubose Sr., her mother Mary Dubose-Lewis, son Torry Eberhardt, father-in-law Leroy Tillman Sr., and sister in laws Rosa Hadden, Lorretta Tillman, and Linda Tillman She leaves to cherish her memories her husband Leroy Tillman Jr., her children Stephen Eberhardt, Sandra (Robbie) Eberhardt, Renado (Carmen) Eberhardt, Bonus son Brian Holder, God-son Spenquez Stringer; grandchildren: Ty Cockfield,Tavarus Woods, Destiny Eberhardt, Raven Eberhardt, Rosalyn Eberthardt, Monterious Prather; great grandchildren: Noel Earls, Kason Daniel, Kaylee Daniel; Sisters/Brothers: Donald (Wilma) Dubose, Carrie Dubose,Vera (Bradley) Mize, James Dubose, Torry Dubose Jr., Joe Nathan Lewis; Mother in law Lorraine Tillman; Barbara and Doris Tillman; Brother in law George and Bobby Tillman and a host of other relatives and friends.
