Tyler Oliver

On May 7, 2008, a strong little chubby baby, with a big appetite, was born to Stephanie Taylor and Nicholas Oliver in Monroe, GA. Although we feel Tyler left this earthly life to soon, he met an army of angels in the sky, his maternal and paternal grandparents. A humble soul, Tyler never asked for the spotlight, although he somehow managed to steal it with nothing more than a smile. At a young age, Stephanie and Nick knew Tyler would be a star as he prevailed in the sport of baseball, making his way from the outfield to the infield and dominating first base. At an early age, Tyler’s was instilled the love of Christ from his mother and extended family. He participated in various activities at Spring Hill AME Zion Church, where he was a part of the youth and sunbeam choir and served in other children’s organizations in the church. Tyler was very selfless, sensible, manageable, and teachable. He was the kind of kid that would do anything for you. Known for his tireless work ethic, quick wit, and humble heart, Tyler never asked for recognition. He always showed up and gave the people around him 110%. Tyler showed all of these characteristics everywhere he went. He didn’t change in the classrooms, the hallways of Walton County Schools, or at home with his family and friends. Tyler’s legacy isn’t one of metals or monuments, but moments of laughter, fun, and love with those he adored. Tyler always kept the family group chat with his siblings and cousins alive with humor. He also made sure his late-night talks with his girlfriend, Kyleigh, was filled with joy. Tyler’s love for spontaneous activities, such as fishing with his dad and ATV riding with his best friend Jacob, were moments meant to be cherished. The many days of playing video games and basketball with his friends, are trophies of long-lasting friendships bonded in love. Tyler’s love for old-school music, created memories that his entire family will never forget. If you heard him singing, you would never forget! He didn’t sing to be heard; he would sing with joy in his heart. Walking around the house singing and dancing to his own tune, was pleasing to his soul. When Tyler was not with family and friends, he was working at La Fiesta Restaurant, which became his second family, engaging in fun, loving conversation, and intriguing the customers with his jokes. To know Tyler was to love Tyler! Tyler finished his earthly life on May 20, 2025. He leaves so many memories behind with his family, father: Nicholas (Gloria) Oliver; mother: Stephanie Taylor; siblings: N’Keya Oliver, Tyrianna Lazenby, David Nime, and Quindarius Pearson; sister/brother cousins: Amiri, Kayla, Cayden, K’Maya, KJ, Marianna, Sher’Mora, Dallas, Aubery, & Kyrie; and an army of Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins; his special friends: Kyleigh, Jacob, Jacori, Semaj, Tony, DJ, Zamayia, and Makhi; his work family: the Staff at La Fiesta Restaurant in Monroe, GA; and a host of family and friends.
